Electric Storage Heater Upgrades

We offer fully funded electric storage heater upgrades for eligible households, including installation of high-retention electric storage heaters and solar panels where applicable.

Eligibility & Meter Requirements

To qualify for this service, your property must be fitted with an Economy 7 electric meter. If you don’t have one, you’ll need to request an upgrade before installation can proceed.

The Process

Initial Survey & Assessment

Once the paperwork is completed, a qualified Retrofit Assessor will visit your home to carry out an energy performance assessment (EPR). This determines which measures are needed and what funding is available.

Council Approval

If the project is viable, your application will be submitted to the local council for approval.

Installation Booking

Once approved, our installer will contact you to arrange a convenient time for installation.

Installation

A team of 2–3 engineers will complete the job in 1–2 days.
The installation includes high-retention electric storage heaters and, where applicable, solar panels.
An electrician will carry out the necessary wiring work, including fitting the fuse spur and completing ‘Part B’ of the process.

Warranty

All installations come with a 2-year manufacturer’s warranty, with the option to extend for a small additional fee.

Timelines

Approval Time: 1–6 weeks (depending on council response time and your availability for surveys)
Installation Time: Typically 1–3 days, depending on the type of upgrade
